SBC Week 6 – Golf

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another SBC post!  I am going to be talking about golf! Hope you enjoy!

Golf is a sport where you hit a ball around with a club.  People think that it’s easy but to me, it is the total opposite.  Golf has many rules that go along with it.  I will get to those later.  Golf is a game of honesty and integrity.  You need to play the game with passion to enjoy it.  In this post, I will be talking about the game and my opinions of it.

Have you ever been to the Lotte Championship or watched golf on TV?  Have you ever played golf? Well it is a very fun sport.  You make a lot of friends along the way.  There are many organizations to play in such as OJGA(Oahu Junior Golf Association), HSJGA(Hawaii State Junior Golf Association), and many others.  They each have players ranging from ages 7-18.  They are divided into different age divisions such as 10 and under and 13-14.  I currently play in the 11-12 division.  I play up against tough competitors.  We are all friends in the beginning but on the course we turn into each other’s rivals.

Golf has MANY MANY MANY rules.  Regular hazards are marked by red stakes.  Out of bounds is marked by white stakes.  If you go into a regular hazard you get one stroke penalty. You will also have to find the point of entry that the ball entered into the hazard. From there, you take two club lengths no closer to the hole.  You mark the two club lengths with tees.  After, you drop the ball from shoulder height.  If the ball passes the line, you have to drop again.  If it passes the line on the second try you place the ball where it landed.  THANKFULLY a out of bounds penalty is much easier to do.  If you think that your ball goes into OB, you can hit another ball called a provisional.  It is a one stroke penalty.

My idol in golf is Lydia Ko. She is an AMAZING golfer.  She has inspired me and many other people.  She lives in New Zealand.  She is currently the #1 golfer in the WORLD.  She used to have Callaway as her sponsor, but she moved to PXG.  I honestly think that Callaway is better than PXG.  She still plays awesome either way.  One day I wish that I could be as good as her.

THANK YOU ALL FOR READING!!! I hope you enjoyed, and I will sew you in the next post! BYE!

Weekly Post #10 – Outside the Window Part 1

Hi everyone! I am doing another weekly post.  This post is about the imaginary things a boy sees out of his window.  This all come out of imagination.

A boy named Kandu lived in a small town house.  He didn’t have much to do at home.  He lived with his mom, dad, and baby sister.  His family was poor, but Kandu never gave up.  He got a job from a neighbor down the street.  For every hour he earns $15 per hour.  He has to walk their dog, feed the fish, pick weeds, and paints the fence.  He was determined to keep the job and help his family.  One day, Kandu worked for three hours.  He was very proud because he normally only works one hour.  He always has to watch his baby sister because his mom and dad go to cook and fix the house.  Kandu had enough money to buy a whole meal for a whole week! He ran home with excitement in his eyes. He bursts through the door to tell his parents the great news.  They smiled with delight.  They also had good news to tell him.  His father went to the landlord and was able to renovate the house.  He said that he could spend the money on anything that he wanted.  Kandu smiled and hugged his parents.  The next day, Kandu ran off to the local grocery store.  He bought…

FIND OUT WHAT HE BUYS IN PART 2!!!!  COMING SOON TO RAYA’S BLOGS!!!

There is hair everywhere.  I don’t know what the house would be without him.  My favorite cousin is Rayden.  We hang out the most.  We see each other almost every other day.  My other cousins are so fun.  We play games, watch TV, eat, and more.  My aunties and uncles are all very kind. My grandpa and I go to Pali Golf Course sometimes to play golf.  It is special to play with him.  My grandma is very nice and helpful.  She helps me get ready in the morning.  She gets my lunch and clothes ready for the next day.  I have had many friends seem like family because we are very close friends, and we have known each other since pre-school.  We have bonded throughout the years at school.  Everybody has been so great and kind to me.  I am very lucky to have such a great family!!! <3

SBC Week 4 : Racism

Hi everyone. I am doing activity #1.  I am doing a post about racism.

Racism has become a big thing in society.  People make jokes about it not realizing what they’re saying.  In my opinion, people shouldn’t judge people by their covers and colors.  Everybody is equal.  I have many reasons why there shouldn’t be racism.

#1.  It is just plain out wrong.  People should be judged by their personality.  They should never be judged by their looks, color, fame, or popularity.

#2.  I have been hearing a lot of this on the news…black rights matter.  Their rights do matter but what about Asians, Hispanics, Native Hawaiians, and many more?  All the races should have rights.  It shouldn’t just be black and white.  There are many other races.

#3.  The jokes….these are the ones that really get me irritated. WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE THESE JOKES?!? They are so prejudiced and they are offensive.  The person may or may not notice that they are really offending people.  Most of the jokes make it look like white people are superior, but they are not.  Everybody should be treated nicely.

Race doesn’t matter when it comes to friendship.  Africans can be friends with Asians. Hispanics can be friends with Native Hawaiians.  People don’t have to be friends with the same race.

I got the definition of racism from Merriam-Webster.

Thanks for reading!!! Bye!!!
