Hey everyone! Another post! Wow! Instead of theories, today, I am going to be talking about one of my favorite video games, Overwatch!  I’m not too sure if I talked about this before…I don’t think I have.  Let’s get into it!

Overwatch is a first person shooting game.  Each regular game is a 6v6 battle.  There are 4 game modes.  There is assault, control, escort, and hybrid.  In assault, the attacking team needs to claim two capture points.  The defending team just needs to prevent them from taking the points until the time runs out.  In control, both teams battle to take control for one point.  Whichever team gets the capture point to 100% first wins that round.  The first team to get to two wins.  Unlike the other game modes, this mode doesn’t have a time limit.  It’s just whoever gets to 100% first.  In escort, the attacking team needs to move a payload from one point to another.  The payload moves when the attacking team is standing on it or is near it.  Hybrid is a combination of the modes assault and escort.  You have to capture on point.  Once you do that, you escort a payload.

An important piece of the game is the characters.  Currently, there is 29 heroes.  There are three categories; Tank, Damage, and Support.  Damage is the category that has the most heroes.  There are seven tanks, 16 damage, and six support.  Each hero has different abilities that they can use to help them in battle.  Each hero also has an ultimate.  They need to deal damage or heal teammates to fill up the gauge.  You need to get it up to 100%.  Each hero fills up their gauge at different speeds.

The first hero I will be talking about is Ana.  Ana is a support character.  Her full name is Ana Amari.  She was sent on a mission, and she was believed to have been killed by Widowmaker.  In reality, she survived the attack.  Ana’s weapon is a Biotic Rifle.  Her abilities are Sleep Dart and Biotic Grenade.  If you hit an enemy with Sleep Dart, it will put them to sleep for a small amount of time.  When they are asleep, they are unable to do anything.  Biotic Grenade heals allies and damages enemies.  It also prevents them from healing for a short amount of time.  Finally, her ultimate is Nano Boost.  Nano Boost can be applied to any teammate.  As soon as it is applied, it heals them.  It causes hem to deal more damage, and they take less damage from enemies’.

The next hero I will be talking about is D.va.  D.va is a tank.  D.va’s real name is Hana Song.  Hana is a professional gamer who uses her skill to pilot a mech.  D.va’s weapons are called Fusion Cannons.  Unlike other heroes, her weapon has infinite ammo.  Outside of her mech, D.va’s weapon is a Light Gun.  All of D.va’s abilities can only be used when she is in her mech.  Her abilities are Boosters, Defense Matrix, and Micro Missiles.  Boosters launch D.va in the direction she is looking.  She is able to boost into enemies to knock them back.  Defense Matrix is a target shaped array that can stop projectiles coming at D.va.  Micro Missiles are a bunch of tiny missiles that D.va can shoot at an enemy.  Finally, D.va’s ultimate is Self-Destruct.  She ejects from her mech and causes it to explode.  It deals a ton of damage to enemies.

The final person I will be talking about is Genji.  Genji’s real name is Genji Shimada.  Genji is a cyborg.  His brother, Hanzo, and him got into an argument which caused Hanzo to “kill” Genji.  Genji’s weapon are Shurikens.  His abilities are Deflect and Swift Strike.  When Genji uses deflect, all projectiles coming at him are deflected back at the enemy.  When using Swift Strike, Genji dashes at an enemy while slashing them with his katana.  If he kills somebody while this ability is on cool down, he gets it back immediately.  Genji’s ultimate is Dragonblade.  Genji uses his katana for a brief amount of time to deal high damaging strikes to opponents.

After Namjoon Left

Taehyung came home to his father abusing his sister.  He can’t control himself and ends up…I don’t know if I can say this…stabby stabbying him.  He calls RM and says that he wants to see him.  In the next scene, you see a telephone box chained up.  RM is trying to get inside of it, but he can’t.  It resembles how RM lived too far away, so he couldn’t help Taehyung.  Taehyung’s sister took the blame for stabby stabbying their father.  In Stigma, Taehyung’s solo, the lyrics are, “You who was punished in my stead. You who were only delicate and fragile,” and, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry my sister. Even if I try to hide it or conceal it, it can’t be erased.”  Jungkook and Suga were at their secret meeting place during a “Visiting Day” for parents.  A teacher suddenly barged into the room and slapped Jungkook so hard that he fell to the ground.  The teacher started to yell at him, but Suga pushed them back and protected Jungkook.  When Suga was at home, he took out a piano key from inside the desk.  It was from his mom’s piano.  He threw it out the window and said that he will never play piano again.  After that, he never wen’t to school for 10 days since he was suspended.  Jungkook tried to play the piano, but it never sounds like how Suga plays.  Jungkook blames himself for what happened.  Jimin and J-Hope still hang out, but instead of walking, they take the bus.  One day at the bus stop, Jimin had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. J-Hope never knew about Jimin’s condition.  Jimin’s mom blames J-Hope for everything that happened.  Jimin stopped going school after that.  He was still in the hospital.  One day, Jimin told his first lie.  He told the doctor that he couldn’t remember anything.

End of High School

J-Hope still dances at the studio.  “I smile; even if I’m sad, I smile.” Suga was walking around a town drunk.  He closes his eyes and hears the sound of a piano. “I opened my eyes at the sudden sound of a horn just as a car grazed narrowly past me.”  He runs towards a music shop, and there was someone sitting in front of a piano.  Memories came back.  The person in front of the piano lifted their head up.  It was Jungkook.  Jin went back to the ocean.  It’s been 2 years and 10 months since they all came to the ocean. J-Hope, Suga, and Taehyung decide they should visit RM.  Taehyung was late because he was being chased by the police for spraying graffiti.  His shirt was torn, so he changed into one of RM’s shirts.  While he ws changing, RM saw the bruises on his back.  Jungkook purposely found thugs and tried to provoke them.  He ended up getting beat up by them (To cheer up the mood, Jungkook had a hard time filming the scene and would always laugh because the thugs were some of his friends :D).  “I climbed up to the roof of the construction site.  I walked on top of the railing holding out both my hands for balance.  That gave me the idea that I could “fall” if I just took one more step.  But would death bring the end of anything?”  Later on, Jungkook wandered the streets aimlessly.  He ended up getting into a car crash while crossing the street.   J-Hope was practicing dance with Jimin and his friend.  All of a sudden, J-Hope couldn’t look at the face of his friend.  He goes to the corner of a room to try and calm down.  He ends up realizing that his friend reminds him of his mother.  Jin ends up getting a call from J-Hope.  “Hyung, Jungkook had a car accident that night.”

Time Skip UWU <3

It’s two months after Jungkook’s car accident.  By the way, Jungkook is still alive <3.  RM sees a girl passing out flyers on a bridge.  The girls drops some, so he helps her pick them up. He notices that she has a yellow rubber band.  Taehyung witnesses a girl stealing at a store, but helps her pay for it.  It was the 3rd time he met the girl at the store.  She tried to hide from him and follow him quietly.  He caught her following and got her to talk to him.  RM was in an elevator.  He saw a person that had the same yellow rubber band as the girl on the bridge.  “I raised my head and made eye contact with them through the mirror.  They looked away.  There were many moments like this.”  Jimin and J-Hope are dancing in the studio.  Jimin is trying his best to keep up with J-Hope, but he’s just not as good.  Jimin is quite jealous of J-Hope’s dancing ability.  He wants to be able to dance just like him.  Jin sees a girl running across train tracks.  While running past him, she dropped her diary.  While in the hospital, Jungkook made a friend.  He started to write songs.  He’s been practicing for a long time.  His friend said that they liked it because they were pretty.  Jin was driving one night when he saw a flower shop.  He had visited several flower shops and no one knew about a Smeraldo.  Jin had another note that stated, “‘Why do you need that flower of all flowers?’ he asked.  Jin thought, “Because I wanted to make that person happy. Because I wanted to make that person smile. Because I wanted to see that person enjoy it. Because I wanted to be a good person.”  It turns out, that in the girl’s diary, there is a checklist.  On the checklist, Smeraldo is one of the flowers she wants.  Jin is getting ready to meet the girl.  Finally, he picked up the flowers.  While the girl was crossing the street when she was suddenly hit by a car.

“I thought, If only I could turn back time.  Can anyone remember the moment they fall in love.  Can anyone predict the moment their love will end?  What could be the reason that humans don’t have the ability to recognize those moments?  And why was I given the power to return all of those things?” ~Seokjin

I apologize because this post is litersally EVERYWHERE.  Maybe in the future when all of the theories and stuff are done, I will make a post explaining it better :P.  Well…That was a lot of writing…If you are confused about this/Want to know more, you can talk to me or leave a comment, and I will try my best to help you understand this very, very complicated series.  This is such a big story that I had a hard time understanding.  There is a Webtoon for BTS called Save Me.  That adds SO MUCH more to the story!  BUT! I am not writing this post on my own volition, but at least I get to write about something I enjoy.  Today, or whenever you read this, I am going to be talking about the HYYH Era.  It is also known as The Most Beautiful Moment In Life by BTS.  HYYH stands for 화양연화 (Hwa Yong Yeon Hwa).

*DISCLAIMER* Even though I have only listed two albums, there is a theory about the third, but I will get back to that later.

The HYYH trilogy is about the struggles the boys face from growing up.  People have compared it to a caterpillar growing into a butterfly.  This whole story is mainly about Jin.  Jin is struggling with his “metamorphosis.”  He is trying to reconnect with his younger self.

Everything would make more sense if you watch the video, but I would like to warn you that there is a bit of violence and stuff.  If you don’t want to see this version, there is a cleaner one here.

The next theory I will be going into is connected to more music videos.  I NEED U, Run, and The Prologue are just all reoccurring events but from a different perspective and timeline.  BTS has released many, many songs.  People have believed that they all somehow connect.  If you don’t want to watch a bunch of videos, I understand.  I will try my best to sum it up (in chronological order).

Before High School

J-Hope’s mom abandoned him at a theme park.  He lived in an orphanage for 10 years.  Taehyung’s dad came home after being gone for a long time.  He ran to give his dad a hug, but he smelt alcohol on him.  This was the first time his father mistreated him.  Suga’s house caught on fire, and unfortunately, his mother got caught in it and passed away.  At this time, J-Hope is no longer in the orphanage. Jimin gets discharged from the hospital and transfers school.  RM lives in a trailer.

High School

Jin arrives from America and is brought to a school.  His father is very strict.  After the start of the semester, Jimin met J-Hope. All of the 7 boys became close friends (Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, and RM).  They would always hang out in a empty classroom.  All the boys met up out of school.  After, they went to RM’s house.  Jin holds up a picture of the ocean and shows J-Hope.  He asks him, “We…Should we go here?”  The next day, they all went to the ocean together.  They went to a gas station that RM may work at in the future.  You see it in the I Need U MV.  The next morning, Taehyung decided to jump off a platform into the ocean.  After that, many arguments and disagreements came. You can see a note left by Jin that says, “Taehyung’s eyes that shone like a flame, the way they looked at me as though they had heard something unbelievable. Namjoon’s hand that tried to stop Taehyung, and I who couldn’t take it and ended up swinging at Taehyung with my fist. Failing to find Taehyung who ran out, I returned to the dorm near the beach and no one was there.”  Ever since then, they never met up as a group.  Jimin and J-Hope were still good friends though.  They would always walk home from school together.  It was RM’s last day at school.  He was moving away.  He left a message for the boys, “We need to survive.”  He changed his mind and crumpled the paper.  Instead, he wrote, “We’ll meet again.”
